Zambia U17 national team coach Chris Kaunda this afternoon sang praises for defensive midfielder Nsonsa Sunzu following his exceptional debut performance in the friendly match against South Africa.
Speaking to Zambianfootball.co.zm after seeing his charges draw 1 – 1 against the Amajimbo, Kaunda stated that Sunzu performed beyond his expectations.
“We made a discovery on Sunzu, I think you saw for yourself,” Kaunda told the ZamFoot Crew.
“The boy did very well being the first time playing international football, it’s not an easy ask for the boy.”
“He did everything, even what we never even expected. We were worried, as we have to fill the position of number six left by the boy in hospital [Changwe Kalale]. We had a problem there.”
“But we have found him [the replacement]. We just need to give him more time to learn, and he is learning, he is a kid but he did everything possible in this game,” he added.
Sunzu (Jersey 14 in the picture) the young brother to Chipolopolo defender Stopilla Sunzu had a good game in the defensive midfield position.
His distribution of the ball, interceptions and strength in one on one tussles were second to none on the pitch.

I guess we have great hope for the future. Sunzu and Nathan anchoring the midfield
This family is so blessed with talent. Wishing you the very best young sunsu.
are we going to put on this training jesey for afcon
cmr 1 rsa 0 half way
Atleast my question has been answered, hopefully he can follow In the steps of his brother and go to China.
So u call dis team under 17.God sees u zambians.
I am wondering why a national team jersey should have just one or two jerseys with numbers printed on them.It looks like a jersey for a christmas tournament in some township. Our teams should look organised, the same thing happened when we played RSA at orlando stadium last week. What is going on ba FAZ
So Felix Nsunzu sir can even form a football team. There even some girls playing professional football in Congo DR in this family. Felix himself can be a goal keeper in this team.
These jerseys irritate me. Why does only one guy have a number on the front?
Truth be told, the ugliest jersey we’ve had-despite at one time going off our normal colours into light blue and yellow!
This is the lack of serious on the part of FAZ that i talk about on this blog. It’s so SHOCKING that some people find nothing wrong with it.
pls faz work on our jersey bring back 2012 jersey I dont think u have even sold 2000 jerseys the current 1
Nsonsa Sunzu looks like the tallest in this squad. Any good thing as we need height also in our national teams.
On the other hand, what deal did FAZ really struck with the guys that dress our national team? We really need proper jerseys such as the ones used in 2012. I wonder why we keep on changing jerseys. Yabaa!
He his not Nsonsa but Ngosa
