Andrew Kamanga will now shift attention to the FAZ election after failing to secure a seat on the FIFA council.
On Wednesday, the Zambian FA President suffered a setback after he failed to make it into the top five as CAF delegates voted for Africa’s representative at the FIFA council.
Had the 58 year old secured his seat as FIFA council member, he could have been entitled to $250,000 annual allowance.
Kamanga is expected to return to Lusaka to intensify his campaign for re-election as FAZ president with serious competition from Adrian Kashala and Keith Mweemba..
Former FAZ Vice President Emmanuel Munaile and Francis Hafwiti are also part of the five member running list for the Football House top job.
He is seeking a third term after serving at Football House since 2016.
