Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda has axed 8 local players together with Congo Brazaville based striker Winstone Kalengo from the team that will play Cameroon next weekend.
Nyirenda was forced to drop Kalengo who has been the most influential striker in the Chipolopolo squad in the past 12 months scoring. He is the highest scorer for the senior national team this year having scored 2 goals together with Collins Mbesuma and Christopher Katongo.
Other that were dropped from the team that travelled to Zimbabwe are;
Patson Daka, Lawrence Chungu, Billy Mutale, Donashano Malama, Kelvin Mubanga, Richard Kasonde, Jack Chirwa and Justin Shonga.
The remaining local players will be joined by the foreign based players who start arriving in the country today.

Now that Kalengo is out Mr. Coach consider one of the experienced players such as Emmanuel Mayuka, Jakob Mulenga, James Chamanga or Cris Katongo. Mbesuma is good but some times he is not fast enough.
Good call to drop Kalengo as the man has been blunt in front of goal lately. He is not the same Kalengoal we knew. His current form is not good enough. Evans kalulu Kangwa or Roger Kola should be able to fit in his shoes .
Time for the coach to try out other strikers like kangwa and mbesuma up front,And kola to come in as supersub
Kola is dumb in front of goal – Terrible striker!!! A predictable kind that a majority good defenders would easily read his moves.

Our striking force doesn’t not inspire anyone, just as the situation was before heading to Kumasi. Jacob Mulenga should have been called to partner Mbesuma.
What is ka Sate Sate doing in the team? Jackson Mwanza can even do a better job. Or even Mayuka should have been considered or better still Ba Chamanga. What can a Sate Sate do against the tall and giants indomitable lions of Cameroon. Useless!!!

A few very obvious things which I have been saying all year. The defense does not inspire confidence. If a local Zim team can puncture it what of real top African teams? FAZ please go and look in Europe for a defender if not then look for someone in congo. None of these local league defenders (I mean none!) can sustain real pressure which I expect Cameroun will exert. We seem to be back to the Kennedy Nketani days of 5-0 or 5-1 and scoring into your own net. Central midfield is another headache. Who will play there this weekend since Sinkala is injured. Misheck Chaila can play at Zesco but based on what I saw in Pretoria against Sundowns he cannot play against a top African team. Where is Chansa by the way? Striking is better we have options even though I agree with above sentiments – Sate Sate should not even be on the bench. On what basis was he selected? Jackson Mwanza / Chamanga / Mayuka would be far better options. We wait and see but the signs are not good.

So Isaac Chansa also did not make the final cut. Alright a back four with Sunzu and Mtonga as the central pair should strong enough. Only problem I have is that it would have been better to play two defensive midfielders but now that Chansa is cut it means we only have Sinkala in the role. The Cameroonians will come guns blazing lets be honest. They will be chasing the three points just as much as we are. so we needed a solid defense capable of containing them and also a strong defensive midfield.
Lets keep our fingers crossed. The last game was lost purely on mistakes and not that we were outplayed.

Mayuka is far better than sate sate.this coach is taking us nowhere,sinkala is injured yet he drops chansa .chaila will be exposed to a point of substitution and there will be no replacement better still then katongo should have been called to operate from midfield.
