Kalaba appointed U17 physical trainer

Former Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba has been appointed Zambia Under-17 national team physical trainer.

The 37 year old joined head coach Ian Bakala last week as they drilled over 50 youngsters from across the country.

Dennis Makinka and Francis Kombe are the other coaches on the bench.

Following the cancellation of the tournament in Ivory Coast, the Under-17 broke camp until August.

Kalaba recently survived a road traffic accident.

The former TP Mazembe midfielder had a stellar career which saw him play in Portugal and Congo winning multiple continental titles.
