Kaindu names squad for Tunisia trip…Mwila Phiri, Shamujompa, and Souleymanou return from injury

Youngsters Obina Chisala and Abraham Siakombo are ready for North African job

Sensational Zanaco head coach Kelvin Kaindu has named his 20 member squad for tonight’s trip to Tunisia.

Mwila Phiri , Isaac Shamujompa and Souleymanou Moussa have returned from injury and made the squad that will travel to face CS Sxfaxien on Sunday.

However winger Ackim Mumba remains sidelined due to injury and misses the trip alongside Tshite Mweshi and Felix Bulaya.

Kaindu has focused on mental strength as the Bankers look to navigate their way out of a tricky Group which also has Egyptian side Pyramids FC and Ahly Tripoli of Libya.

“We need to be prepared mentally, We will be playing away with a partisan crowd and we won’t have our fans. However, the games we have played so far and the friendly against Yanga SC has helped to prepare our players mental aspect because of how the atmosphere was,” Kaindu told the ZamFoot Crew.

“We are focusing on getting maximum points at home but if we can get points away that is an advantage.

“We have been scoring goals but the problem has been conceding hence most of our sessions have been about how to stand and how to defend.”

Kaindu’s men will leave for Tunis at 21:00hrs aboard a Qatar Airways flight.

The Bankers will square off with Sfaxien on Sunday, February 13th at the Stade Olympique De R Tunis.
