Kabwe Warriors will be looking to return to winning ways when they welcome Mutondo Stars at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
After going nine games unbeaten, Kabwe Warriors have failed to win any of their last four games, losing three and drawing one.
With the ABSA Cup qualification on the horizon, Numba Mumamba believes this is the game for the magnificent People’s team to redeem themselves and consolidate their position.
The gaffer says the team has been working on their conversion rate which has been very poor despite creating chances.
“Our preparations have been going on well since we came back from Lusaka. Everyone is ready and set for tomorrow’s game. This is a game which is very important to us because it will consolidate our position to play in the ABSA Cup,” he said.
“So we are taking this game seriously. This is the game we need to redeem ourselves and collect maximum points after four games without a victory. I think It’s high time we redeem ourselves by working hard so that we can collect maximum points against the highly determined Mutondo Stars. They are a very good side but we just have to work hard for us to collect the three points that we need.”
“We have been working on our finishing for the past few weeks. We are creating chances but our conversation rate has been very poor and I think that is something we need to continue working on so that when we improve on our finishing, we will be a better team,” he added.
Midfielder Field Kandela remains out with an injury but the rest of the players are available for selection, Numba has confirmed.
He has since urged the fans to go to the Stadium in numbers to watch and cheer their team.
“On the injury list the only player we have is Field Kandela who is still nursing his injury, otherwise the other players are okay and ready for selection,” he said.
“To the fans we can only urge them to come in numbers. I think this is the time now to give them the victory. They have been waiting for a victory for quite a long time. I think this is the time now to make them happy by working hard and collecting the three points that they want.”
