Chipolopolo midfielder Justine Zulu is a doubt for tomorrows Coasafa Cup Plate game game against Ghana.
Zulu limped off the pitch on Sunday when Zambia lost to Namibia on penalties in a quarter final match.
The Zesco United holding midfielder who has re-inverted himself as a box to box midfielder did not train with the team yesterday (Monday) and sat out today’s training owing to an ankle injury.
The 25 year old made his national team debut in 2011 under Dario Bonneti but fell out of favor with Herve Renard.
He has worked his way back into the national team this year playing in all three games Zambia has played after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and has so far scored four goals for his club Zesco United.
In his absence, coach Honour Janza has the option of either playing Red Arrows midfielder Paul Katema who replaced him in the quarter final match or bringing back fit again Chipolopolo vice captain Nathan Sinkala who was on the bench against Namibia.
Zambia play the Black Stars in the COSAFA Plate semi final match tomorrow, at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. The match will kick off at 17:00 hours Zambian time.

… Justin Zulu to miss semi-final match against Ghana……what? Thot this was a losers match.
Ghanasoccernet didnt even report on the ghana loss to madagascar. kekekeke. to embarrassed to do so
Good for nothing paradox. Instead of thinking about the defending champions ousted in their first game by Namibia, u use the little brain left in you on Ghanas defeat. When ideas are being espoused as to upping zambias game, the idealess paradox is missing in action. The ff: countries are representing AFRICA in New Zealand FIFA under 20 World Cup : GHANA, NIGERIA, MALI & SENEGALThink about that. Any COSAFA? Food for Thought.
What?? Ghana losing to Madagascar.
YEP! NOSTRA—Kekekekekekeke
@paradox, i don’t really think most ghanians are aware that their team is participating in a tournament presently.
~And why should they when the Fifa U-20 world cup is starting May 30. I am sure their attention is fixed on the world cup team.
Well you can’t blame them for that when their real senior team is not even participanting in South Africa.
I hope to see My super flying eagles in the fifa U-20 world cup against the ghana come June 20.
That will be awesome.
IT WIL BE SWEEET AND AWESOME TOO BUDDY..
At under 20 level its now difficult for Africans to win world cup because of mri scan machine .
With Mri Ghana won the world cup in Egypt. Come again pls
And what do u mean by it is now difficult, check ur facts and u will know that Ghana’s lifting of the trophy was the first time am African team won the trophy. Ur argument is flawed. Because without mri no African won the trophy
On paper zulu is 27 but as he feels he is 30 plus same applies to Jackson mwanza . Zamfoot and janza whats so special about j zulu . He failed in Israel , Cyprus an d in xenophobia sa . Today he playing for old peoples home in Zambia . Zesco supplied rotten players . Useless .
We want Rodgers kola in the team we are tired of Jackson mwanza
@tony mash, hahahahahaha just wait and watch what will happen in New zealand. Mri is nothing.
World cup qualification match for Zambia unless Ghanaians don’t give a hoot abt this good for nothing cup!
Whiles BIG AFRICA BALLERS like Ghana and Nigeria are concern abt FIFA UNDER 20 TOURNEY, amateurish and small time cum part time so called football nations are busily WASTING THEIR TIME ON A GOOD FOR NOTHING LOCAL GALA LEAGUE LOL
well majority of ghanians hav no idea ghana is playing a cosafa tournament not a single ghanian knows about it just a few.but all th way congrate to madagasca thy deserved that win thy prepared more then we did .but am still disapointed in th local black star players it some wat a disgrase for madagasca to inhalate us.am very disapointed
Ghana do not pretend you are not concerned about COSAFA.You are jst shy to talk about it for embarrassment. And Madagascar is worse than Namibia.U r beaten,u r beaten, unless you say that team u sent is Ghana. As far as we are concernd,it is a Ghana senior team.
Don’t throw stones when you are in a glass house. Why are you so hell bent on provoking the Ghanaians?
man to tell u the truth we are not concerned one bit about cosafa nothing here in ghana shows it national team is playing a tournament in south africa the pubicity of th tournament isint there nothing at all in ghana shows .it just how we got beaten by madagasca because we were invited as guiest in this tournament to spice up things but we fell short that wat am disapointed in we could have done better to make more atractive an market wise
The KITCHEN version of cosafa is realy a failures tournament idealy Zambia should have just come back theres nothing to play for
I don’t agree, lets see if any of the boys will step up their game. They were terribly poor in the Namibia game and some of them might just want to prove a point. We still need to develop a healthy selection pool of players for the senior team and even kitchen version tournaments like this might help with identifying at the very least even one potential player.
some zambians are funny u realy think that’s Ghanas senior team. Meet us in a world cup qualifier and u would know.
Ghana will never take the asst coach,3rd choice keeper and amatuer players if they were serious abt the tournament. To be honest I only got to know we were in the cosafa tourney throgh zamfoot. Even our under 20 will be too much for u to handle
I expected a lot from this guy but he didn’t really bring much to the game and ended up injured. Both him and Katebe did not impress me, nothing to talk about now I see why Herve Renard stopped considering Katebe for national call ups the guy is very average.
Maybe the fact that we didn’t have a solid system of play and could not string a good number of passes at any given point worked against their football strengths but still even with the level of poor coaching displayed by Janza, Mukuka Mulenga showed some spirit and he was basically the only Zambian player who showed anything worth talking about.
Nathan also is developing into a hiccup. It now looks like Isaac in front of him and Sunzu just behind him made him look good when in truth he probably is not that good. I hope he steps up and proves me wrong. His last overseas stint was a huge failure and he really needs to step up and prove that he is his own man.
