Janza axe Jacob, Titima as Nkausu, Lubambo returns

Interim Chipolopolo Boys coach Honour Janza is turning out to be ‘Mr Tinkerman’.

The FAZ Technical Director has dropped Jacob Mulenga from his squad for the back to back African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Cape Verde on 15th and 19th November respectively.

Power Dynamos goalkeeper Joshua Titima has also been axed while Armenian based teenage sensation Lubambo Musonda has been recalled as earlier revealed by the ZamFoot Crew.

Fit again Davies Nkausu makes the squad but there’s no place for Mukuka Mulenga and Chris Katongo.

Under-17 star Changwe Kalale and Under-20’s box to box Spencer Sautu have also earned places. Sautu is an industrious midfielder and has been described as the ‘next Isaac Chansa.’

  1. Very very usles coach. no proper plan and technic. i wonder wat he has ever achievd in his career as a coach. he leaving out players who are banging goals like jacob. we need to seriously look 4 a coach and sack this clown. how many years is faz pres suposed to serve? because all of us are tired of kalu.

  2. Jacob is a far more accomplished striker than more than half of the strike force selected. And not to forget his experience, yet Janza sticks with guys playing in China and the DRC…??? You wonder why we fail to progress. What about Evans Kangwa…?!!

    • But remember sometimes experience doesn’t bring goals. All we need is goals. If old folks can’t provide try new blood.

  3. Evans Kangwa is dangerous how can you leave him out. Chamanga is 50 years old what is Janza’s problem. Jacob deserves a place on the bench. Mayuka, sate, and evans kangwa are the best strikers in the country.

  4. Let’s just try new tactics and new strikers boys though I still believe Evans Kangwa deserves a chance and I think Jacob Mulenga’s prowess has faded of late. Mayuka Chamanga and Kampamba are Ok

  5. of all the people you drop Jacob mulenga instead of chamanga who did not even impress in the game that he played,is this a dream or real,Evans kangwa should be called he is a good player. At the moment if we are not careful we wont go to afcon next year.I feel saith sakala should have been called compared to charles zulu, saith played a good game the last weekend against ivory cost.Hope chamanga wont start in the game against mozambique he will cost us.

  7. @kk11.Check your history and you’ll find that chamanga is the best goal scorer we’ve produced in the recent past, second only to chris Katongo and has scored more goals than mayuka and jacob combined.we need such proven goal scorers on the pitch.

  8. Jacob Mulenga likula naimwe. But on leaving out Evans Kangwa I can agree that the coach made a mistake. Kangwa should be in the squad.

  9. I can foresee a situation where Zambia is failing to qualify because of this incompetent coach.Honestly, how do you leave Evans Kangwa in preference to Charles Zulu who failed to perform again ivory coast.

  10. we need not only to score goal but defend them too, janza needs an exprienced defensive mid help out our back four and sinkala, what options do we have? apart from donasho & sinkala?

  11. This my first 11 for Mozambique game :
    1.Kennedy Mweene
    2.
    3.
    4.
    5.Sunzu
    6.Sinkala
    7.Lubambo Musonda
    8.Kalaba
    9.Sate Sate
    10.Evans Kangwa
    11. Chisamba Lungu
    4 – 4 – 2 formation
    The blank is for you

  12. I can’t see Julious Situmbeko. Infact no single Power Dynamos player this time. Any way the coach is in a beta position for team selection . wishing the team all the best .we shall dedicate both games for our beloved Republican President. MHSRIP.

  13. Any serious coach will understand the chemistry between Evans And Ronald back from their days at U20 and at Nkana as twin strikers. If you have players like this available to you and you call Chamanga who scores only at tournaments and against Sudan, then you are a clueless coach.

On jacob i would support the move for now because the kind of game Zambia is playing Jacob is a robot. He rarely runs so much and not up to speed any more. Fwayo should kiss the national team goodbye if he can’t find a club anywhere.

We are waiting with bated breath for this game.

  14. @Bolapazed, I had a chance of watching the pair of Evans Kangwa and Sate Sate and yes they are a marvel to watch. Those two understand each other well and are the current best pair. Why Janza has left out Evans Kangwa leaves me wondering.

  15. Janza should call Evans Kangwa ASAP or else???!!!! Charles Zulu mwatemwa ba Janza talakula, nga Chamanga wanshi???!!! Iyeee, Janza & Scott have something in common!
