Zambian forward Fashion Sakala Jnr was in fine form on Sunday afternoon as he helped FC Rangers to a 2-0 win over Dundee United.
The Zambian international earned a penalty which resulted into the first goal before turning provider for the second goal.
Manager Gio van Bronckhorst named seven changes to his XI, That meant it was a back five of Jon McLaughlin in goal with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Leon King for a first start and Borna Barisic.
James Sands, Steven Davis and Aaron Ramsey were in the middle of the park, with Fashion Jr, Scott Arfield and Scott Wright up front.
Sakala was lively from the word go being involved in most attacks by the Light Blues and coming close twice before the break.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Rangers took the lead 10 minutes into the second half from the penalty spot.
Aaron Ramsey chipped a sublime ball over the United defence for Fashion Jr to bring down, but before he could shoot, he was taken out by goalkeeper Siegrist, James Tavernier stepped up and converted.
The 2017 U-20 AFCON winner then turned provider for the second goal of the afternoon on 78 minutes.
After winning possession in midfield, Fashion went scampering away through the middle before playing a neat ball into the path of Amad to lift the ball superbly over Siegrist and into the back of the net for 2-0 and the points.
Sakala and Rangers next host Ross County at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
