Green Buffaloe’s duo of Anita Mulenga and Lushomo Mweemba are expected to start in the heart of defense this afternoon as the Copper Queens go head to head with Cameroon.
Lushomo Mweemba who recently moved to Buffaloes from Nkwazi Queens is likely to partner Anita Mulenga in the absence of the injured Agness Musesa.
Another Green Buffaloes defender in Martha Tembo is expected to start at left-back while the fantastic Margaret Belemu with her flamboyant hair will start at right-back.
Bruce Mwape has options in Red Arrows duo of Emeldah Musonda and Fikile Xhosa who can make a surprise start partnering either Lushomo Mweemba or Anita Mulenga in central defense.
Indeni Roses Jackeline Nkole is another option available for the Queens backline.
The Queens back four will need to put in an extra shift as they face lethal forwards like Nchout Njoya Ajara and Aboudi Onguene.
Zambia and Cameroon will face off this afternoon at 15:30 (16:30 Zambian time ) at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisports Stadium. The return leg will be played at Nkoloma Stadium on Tuesday, 10th March.
The winner over two legs will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics while the losing team will face South American side Chile in a playoff.
