HAZEL NALI TO START IN GOAL

Hazel Nali will start in goal this afternoon when the Zambia Women’s national team square off with the Lionesses of Cameroon.

Nali is expected to start ahead of Zesco United Ladies shot-stopper Ng’ambo Musole and Indeni Roses goal minder Catherine Musonda.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive form since the start of the Olympic qualification campaign having only conceded two goals and kept four clean sheets in the five games Zambia has played so far.

The Green Buffaloes goalkeeper is one of the best in her position on the Continent and has been invaluable to coach Bruce Mwape’s team during this campaign.

She will, however, need to be better today as she will face off against the likes of Nchout Njoya Ajara and Aboudi Onguene.

Zambia and Cameroon will face off this afternoon at 15:30 (16:30 Zambian time ) at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisports Stadium. The return leg will be played at Nkoloma Stadium on Tuesday, 10th March.

The winner over two legs will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics while the losing team will face South American side Chile in a playoff.
