Green Buffaloes beat Nakambala to go in top four

Green Buffaloes surged into fourth position, five points behind leaders Nkana FC with after they beat visiting Nakambala Leopards 2 – 1.

Lottie Phiri and Brian Mwila were both on target in the rescheduled fixture as Buffaloes went on a seven game unbeaten run.

The win took the Army side to 22 points and are behind champions Zesco United on goal difference.

The loss for Nakambala was their 5th loss in 6 games as they continued their free fall since the departure of coach Patrick Phiri.

At the same venue, Lusaka Tigers played out to another draw when they hosted Red Arrows.

Martin Bwalya scored for Tigers while veteran Francis Kombe scored for Arrows.

This was Tiger’s 5th draw in 6 games.
