The Zambia national team has arrived in Guinea Bissau ahead of the Gabon 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to be played on 4th June.
Chipolopolo coach George Lwandamina said his team was given a good test by the ‘Scorpions’ of Gambia in the friendly played on Monday evening in Bakau.
Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew after the game at the Independence Stadium, Lwandamina said the Gambians played some aggressive football which is similar with what the team should expect on Saturday.
“The Gambian team gave us a good test. The West African teams play the same aggressive type of football. At least Gambia has given us a feeling of what to expect against Guinea Bissau.”
Lwandamina pointed to the lack of potence in attack as a reason for failing to secure maximum points.
“They attacked, we defended well but didn’t do much in attack,” he said.
The Chipolopolo flew to Guinea Bissau immediately after the match and have since arrived in Bissau.

Good luck u know our history
This team is not inspiring. Reason: Coach is clueless. Go and beat GB only then will you have a chance to qualify to 2017 afcon. If you draw, consider yourselves out the competition. Good luck.
billy u r a zambian dot say yoselves say ourselves
we need a win this time
Yes they arrived but without scoring machines. Singuluma and mayuka..
we need goals not useless and foolish excuses you remain their.
Player will give it all, Zambia play good football away. We won’t setback but attack! attack! attack!
Am very surprised with the PSL awards for last night. How could Mbesuma top goal scorer walk away with R 25 000.and R50,000 for top goal scorer for NDF. Why? This is an insult!!! Collins has made history to be the first player to win the top goal scorer twice
That’s about $1600 which is peanuts for a league such the PSL. we are talking about the number One sport discipline in RSA. It reflects poor management.
Zambia won’t beat GB like when we lost to Benin sometime back. When you start drawing with teams like Botswana, Gambia etc then just know that you are finished. Fact is we do not a strong team as some are imagining. You can dream on
We won’t win this game. We will be luck if we get a draw
WIN…..
WIN……..
DRAW….
LOSS…..
We didn’t do much in attack because of your defensive tactics. We’re tired of your failed 4-2-3-1 formation which just doesn’t tick for us.Please let’s return to our traditional 4-4-2 formation!
o de best boys!
Zambia will not win the match. It is not a curse.
Zambia is present serving as a booster to other teams fifa ranking. The way Zambia will slide down on the June and July ranking will surprise you guys.
Fifa ranking of Zambia and her recent opponents.
Zambia…………78 (CAF 19)
Togo………………103 (CAF 28)
Gambia…………..168 (CAF 50)
Guinea Bissau……102 (CAF 27).
Imagine losing to Togo, a team ranked 103 in the world and 28 in Africa. This is bad.
And the most painful part is drawing one of the lowest ranked team in the world gambia. Why is it that hard to defeat a team ranked 168 and 50 in africa out of 54 countries.
A new ranking will be released on thursday. Expect zambia to nose dive again which will surely affect zambia when the world cup qua finish start.
Well it is a good one for togo and gambia, they milk some points from zambia’s disgraceful outings.
Guyz kuno kwena ngafyabipa mwikesanako kuno nganimwe ba lwandamina mukasanga zesco fc twaliputula amantambo.
This Andrew Kamanga better not think he was elected to only fix the travel arrangements for Chipolopolo as this is the only thing that looks to have been fixed so far. We need a coach that will select players based on performance not what clueless coach is doing. As klarrychenko puts it, we failed to beat pathetic teams like Gambia and heading into Saturday’s show down, we are left into biting our finger nails because we don’t know what this pathetic coach will will do next. Andrew Kamanga better hire Nkeshi or any proven coach that will bring competency to this team. I also don’t know why all those f00ls ar FAZ have failed to even hire Frenchman Leroy. We keep bringing useless coaches all the time and that is why we fail to beat even useless teams that are ranked way down our level. Kamanga better not think 4yrs is a long time. We are watching and don’t think you are untouchable Kamanga. You will be voted out quicker than you came, Watch.
All what we need is a better coach not this local coaches who have neve been experienced any international tournaments ati Ni coach, yes we will continue loosing like dis because there is lack of knowledge in football….
Anything short of a 3-0 scoreline in favor of Zambia will be a failure by this clueless coach. Its time we start playing like mighty Zambia again, but Kamanga still thinks he is on honey moon. Rude awakening still awaits for him if thinks we hated great Kalu, what we hated were useless results and corruption practices and the results part has not changed. Kamanga needed to go aggressive and hire a proven coach with the first responsibility to qualify Zambia at all costs to AFCON. But Kamanga failed to call Keshi or any good coaches and now we are seeing chicken still laying eggs for Zambia’s failure to take us to the next level. Mxxm.
Having Stephen Keshi as coach for Zambian national team is equivalent to degrading our status in football.
George Lwandamina is a good coach
Are you insane? What are you smoking? Name any coach in African that is better than Keshi? Just one.
loss, draw and then win or else chicken George zwa
loss, draw and then won or else Chicken George zwa
Can we at least say hats off for a timely arrival?
Ooooh my beloved Chipolopolo u are finished……………………………….
U are now just an average team.
The best result Zambia can get from Guinea Bissau is a slender loss of 1 nil. Otherwise Zambia may lose by 3 nil.
Useless
My fellow fans, let us not demoralise our side,Chipolopolo.Let’s encourage them to do the best, expect a win and not a loose.chipolopolo will win by 2 goals to 1.Go Zambia Go.
It is difficult to comment on the Chipolopolo situation. All am remaining with is the hope that the guys will rise to the occasion and perform according to expectation. All the best guys.
When you’re faced with a situation where you have useless home players, average/below average professional players, you need to call all your average professionals to balance the team in all departments and make good use of them. Thats what Herve Renard did to win the AFCON 2012. What we have now is a disaster where coach is choosing useless local players to play important matches. I believe Mayuka, Mbola and Singuluma should have been part of this squad. Why they were left behind only Chicken knows. There are also some good players from Nkana, Power and Zanaco but all we see are players from GBFC and Zesco.
But of course Mwila above thinks Chicken is a good coach. Chicken is pathetic just as all Zambian coaches of nowadays. Back in the day, Zambia used to have genuine coaches who selected players based on merit, not this bosha me and you will get play time or a call up. Too much corruption in Zambia is what is causing Zambia national team to perform below average.
Chipos will win 2-0. Mark my words. Bafana Bafana drew 0-0 with Gambia in Durban! They aint a bad team at al.in fact Bafana r better than Chipos.
we will win. though it will be tough but Zambia will go to afcon.
I dnt thnk s.a is better than zambia maybe when it comes to stadias and jst that they ar the first african country to host the w.c but when it comes to qualifiers we ar a better side jst look at who is the top scorer in the psl, come loss come draw its chipolopolo all the way bt am nt supporting failure.
Good luck 2 the guys hp they win otherwise i anticipate a hostile and intimidating crowd.
I’ve only watched 2 games in this group so far. Congo drawing 1-1 Zambia and Guinea Bissau beating the profligate Kenya. Chipo for me r favorites but Guinea Bissau can turn slippery and bitter when they take leads unlike Kenya and Braziville. Zambia play well when they are down and are good when coming from behind. but bear in mind that if Chipo concede first this time,it could be game over because the most motivated teams in this qualifiers are Mauritania, G. G.Bissau and Swaziland (until they were dismantled by Zim). A first ever AFCon beckons them.Score first and be safe.

1-3 Zambia.
You can say whatever negative about Zambia going into this game but guess what!………..,………. Zambia is extremely dangerous when they play a game that decides their fate especially in the qualifiers.
Dont deceive yourself by thinking that you could read more than the mentors from the friendlies Zambia has played. The purpose of a friendly game has more to it than scoring goals.Scoring should not be a problem if you have proven goal scorerers on the field. The main problem a team has to focus on ahead of an encouter is how to play together, overpower the oponent and win the game. That is the plan..strategy.
A battle fought away from home is never easy however it presents the visiting side with an opportunity to size themselves against the common and popular notion ‘the law of the jungle prevails’.Zambia will carry the day though it will not come easy. Fight to the bitter end mighty Chipolopolo. Fight for mother Zambia and indeed Southern Africa.
