England legend Gary Lineker believes Patson Daka has proven that he is the “real deal” after he scored in the 1-1 draw against Brighton this afternoon.
Daka opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the second half as Brendan Rodgers’ side chased victory.
But after a poor performance after the interval, Danny Welbeck levelled late on to snatch the Seagulls a point.
Daka’s goal proved a huge positive for Leicester as he bagged his ninth goal of the season.
And the £23million signing from RB Salzburg certainly impressed Foxes hero Lineker.
He Tweeted: “He’s banged in another goal. @PatsonDaka20 is the real deal. Fabulous first season at @LCFC.”
Rodgers has been pleased with Daka’s contribution so far this term and believes he will develop into a formidable striker in the years to come.
“He’s a player who’s come in with experience,” Rodgers said of the 23-year-old.
“He’s a young player that we will see improve and develop over the coming years but I’ve been delighted with the impact he’s made.

I like it that Brendan Rodgers has given PD the chance to show what he is made of. Such chances were not given to Mayuka and Mbesuma. Mwepu has also been given the chance which is good.
You cant start renovating a provincial stadium with 300,000 dollars. All provincial stadiums (independence stadiums) in 10-20 years time will be built to the standard of Levi Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola, with a capacity of 40,000. DK stadium should come with a shopping complex and other sophisticated facilities. Take the current available money to Old Bet or even Hill Side. Effort appreciated to upgrade…future sportsmen need it.
May the good luck continue for Patson.
