Gamphani Lungu on target, Assists for Evans Kangwa and Clatous Chama

Striker Gamphani Lungu was on target over the weekend while midfield ace Clatous Chota Chama set up a goal as Zambian players took to the pitch with their clubs around the world.

In South Africa, Striker Gamphani Lungu scored the equalizer as Supersport United came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Bloemfontein Celtic in an MTN 8 Cup semifinal first leg encounter.

He was also voted as the man of the match for his overall performance.

Elsewhere, Orlando Pirates handed Kaizer Chiefs a 3-0 bashing and there was no space for Austin Muwowo for the Buccaneers and Lazarus Kambole for Amakhosi.

In Tanzania, Clatous Chota Chama set up the opening goal for Simba SC in their 5-0 bashing of Mwandui FC in a Tanzania Vodacom Ligi Kuu encounter.

Rally Bwalya put in a 61-minute shift for Wekundu Wa Msimbazi.

In Austria, Midfielder Enock Mwepu came to the bench to play the last 29 minutes in Redbull Salzburg’s 5-0 win over Swarovski Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Striker Patson Daka is nursing an injury hence missed the match.

Elsewhere, Striker Francisco Mwepu was a second half substitute in SK Sturm Graz’s 2-0 loss to LASK Linz.

In Belgium, Striker Fashion Sakala put in a full shift for KV Oostende who succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Standard Liège away at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liège, Luik.

In Isreal, Winger Lameck Banda put in a 61-minute shift for Maccabi Netanya who cruised to a 3-0 win over Hapoel Kfar Saba as football returned in Israel after a one month break.

In the Liga Leumit, The Israeli second-tier Ngosa Sunzu’s Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam will be away to Hapoel Rishon LeZion.

In Sweden, Emmanuel Banda and Edward Chilufya were not available for Djurgadens IF who suffered a 3-2 loss to Falkenberg.

In Russia, Evans Kangwa set up a goal and put in a full shift but it was not enough as Arsenal Tula succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Rubin Kazan.

Midfielder Klings Kangwa was a second-half substitute.
