A number of Zambian players were in action on Wednesday with striker Gamphani Lungu scoring a goal while it was a premature end for Emmanuel Banda in his first UEFA Champions League match.
In South Africa, Gamphani Lungu scored a goal on Wednesday as Supersport United edged Polokwane City 2-0 at the
ABSA Tuks Stadium. Lungu opened the scores just after 8 minutes while Bradley Grobbler sealed the win in additional time as Masatsatsantsa beat Rise and Shine.

The goal was Gampy’s second of the season in his 14 appearances of which he has only started 6 only played full minutes in 4. Salulani Phiri put in a decent full shift for Polokwane City.
Mwenya Cyril Chibwe was rested having played the full ninety minutes in the dramatic 3-2 loss to Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Lazarus Kambole was an unused substitute for the Glamour Boys who succumbed to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Bloemfontein Celtic.

In Hungary, Emmanuel Banda’s UEFA Champions League debut ended prematurely as he was forced out of the match by an injury after just 18 minutes in Djurgadens IF 2-0 loss to Ferencvaros.
Edward Chilufya came from the bench to play the last 45 minutes.
Kenyan born Norwegian striker Tokmac Chol Nguen scored the two goals for the Hungarian side who will face Scottish side, Celtic in the second qualifying round.
