The FAZ Women’s Super Division will this morning enter week 10 of action with some exciting matches on the menu for the local women’s football enthusiasts.
Top of the bill is a Ndola derby as log leaders ZESCO Ndola Girls welcome Indeni Roses at Trade Fair grounds.
ZESCO have won all their opening nine games and are the only team yet to drop points so far this season But Indeni Roses will be their toughest test yet.
The Roses on the other hand have already lost two games and drawn one hence will be keen to avoid a third defeat.
The Roses are coming from a 4-1 win over Prison Leopards Queens while ZESCO edged ZISD Queens 2-1 away in Lusaka.
Defending Champions Green Buffaloes dropped points for the first time this season in midweek when they were held to a goalless draw by the Parliamentarians, National Assembly and will be eager to return to winning ways.
However welcoming YASA Queens at Green Square won’t be a walk in the park for the Zambia army sponsored outfit.
Ireen Lungu has been on song and Wednesday was the first time that the player nicknamed the female Computer failed to score or assist so far this season.
Lungu, Hellen Chanda and Natasha Nanyangwe will lead the attack for Buffaloes while Florence Kasonde, Evelyn Mwamba, and the Nyirongo sisters Rose and Christine will be key for the Kalingalinga based side.
The Royal Girls, Queens Sports Academy will welcome Green Eagles while Nkwazi Queens squares off with ZISD Women.
At Woodlands Stadium, Elite Ladies face off with National Assembly with both teams fresh off ‘important draws’ against Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes respectively.
Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) Queens are away to Zanaco, Red Arrows are in Kabwe to lock horns with Prison Leopards while Mufulira Wanderers Queens welcome Trident Queens.
