FAZ Women’s league: Buoyant Assembly boss fires shots at log leaders, Buffaloes

National Assembly Women Football Club Coach Elophy ‘Dela’ Kutayaya is happy with his team’s performance in the league so far.

The Optimistic gaffer is dreaming of clinching the league title and fired shots at defending champions, Green Buffaloes who lead the FAZ Women’s league Lusaka region as just tenant’s on the first position and standing in for them and soon they will be displaced as they are only a few points away.

Despite going down two goals to one to GBFC in the first round, Kutayaya is sure of collecting maximum points in the return match against the Coach Haalubono drilled side and he is not worried even though some errors costed them, his lads played well and gave Buffaloes a great game.

“Us we are champions they are just standing in for us there, when we played them they beat us 2-1 because of the errors you lose through them but if we say the play, the whole 90 minutes we are not like too much behind to them, in fact, they were pressured it is just the referee who said it’s 90 minutes we stop the game. So we are champions those are just renting for us,” Kutayaya told the Zamfoot Crew.

Speaking in a post-match interview with the Zamfoot Crew after his side edged Nkwazi Queens 2-nil in a week 15 encounter played in the showgrounds, Kutayaya described the team’s performance as perfect and excellent because they played according to instructions given.

Kutayaya is very comfortable with the current crop of players he has at the moment and has put 100% trust in every player at the club especially in an event of one picking up an injury he can’t have problems using anyone as he feels all can deliver but he can be humbled signing new players the door is open.

“In the first round we had a lot of draws we have just got two losses but this round we have started well as we agreed together with the players that we don’t want to play like the first round so this second round is very serious for us and we are serious with it,” said a soft-spoken Kutayaya.

The Parliamentarians have lost twice this season going into week 16. Both were home defeats at the hands of Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes who are above them on the log standings.

National Assembly will this weekend travel to Kanyama to lock horns with Luyando Foundation.
