The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) will on Friday unveil the Super League winners trophy.

FAZ Club Licensing Manager Erick Mwanza told a press briefing at Football House today that the unveiling ceremony will take place at Southern Sun hotel.

The new trophy, crafted at an estimated K60, 000, will be unveiled at a ceremony in Lusaka where FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya is also expected to announce another milestone for the game when he reveals new prize money to be handed out to lower league teams starting at the end of the 2015 season.

The Copper trophy will be on display this weekend in Kitwe and Ndola where Supersport who are part of the initiative will be for live league games.

    • Erick can just get his former job from Tembwe, he is announcing more than s media manager can do. Any the trophy looks cool, it looks more solid than the league itself.

The Football Association of Zambia has removed all pretense of playing fair ahead of next year’s elective annual general meeting by saying that they may ban some individuals who attack the association.
Defacto communications manager Erick Mwanza, who is being lined up for the position of FAZ general secretary, told the media that they will apologetically ban individuals who will attack FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya and his lieutenants.
The warning is apparently aimed at prospective challenger Andrew Kamanga who they hope to strike off the ballot as they push Bwalya’s “wamuyaya” game plan.
Mwanza said Bwalya would sweep to victory as no other Zambian had his credentials to run the game.
Life bans are uncommon in the Bwalya management style as his waning popularity ridden by financial scandals and dwindling fortunes on the pitch and are used to eliminate critical voices in the game.
Bwalya, who is engrossed in a bribe probe by the Anti Corruption Commission over his globe famous US$80, 000 dollars bribe he received from disgraced Qatari businessman Mohammed Bin Hammam, is also stuck with government refusing to pay for a new coach after paying former national team coach Dario Bonetti, after FAZ recklessly terminated his contract.
“We say it without apology that we will not hesitate to forward the names of anyone who attacks the association or FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya to the disciplinary committee. We will also ban any such persons where need arises,” he said.
In the current FAZ management style, attacking is synonymous with offering advice or checks and balances.
FAZ is scheduled to hold elections next year in March with Bwalya having overtly launched his campaigns through Mwanza under the guise of implementing the club licensing system.
Mwanza had a two year stint at CAF in the communications office, and has been aggressively trying to find space at Football House since his comeback. Mwanza, alongside current secretary general George Kasengele, have since launched an online campaign to discredit Kamanga and his supporters.
Mwanza and the current under performing communications manager Nkweto Tembwe will start issuing personal attacks directed at Kamanga and his supporters. So far, soccer administrator Simataa Simataa has fallen victim to Mwanza and Kasengele engineered social media attacks. Simataa is a stern critic of the FAZ administration but often offers checks and balances without using any other method but his identity.
Meanwhile, Kalusha has announced through twitter he wants to go for a third term and it will be his last. Kalusha’s mentors Sepp Blatter and Issa Hayatou have previously announced they were going to be in office for one more term but have both ended prolonging their stay beyond three terms.

    • Blabla Blabla Blabla Blabla!!!! your boring nonses keep it to your head and Kamanga becuase you are both boring…. Faz kudos for the trophy. Zed football forward

  3. Not ukula domafye indalama sha mahala………the performance of the team has gone down work on that also new coach!!!!!!!

  4. Those r the things we wnt 2 c in FAZ let’s invest in our league we need mo corporate sponsorship but accountability is key in attractin mo investment ba Kalu & co. Otherwise gud move.

  5. interesting news on kickoff zambia fwayo could move 2 nkana, this is wat is killing our game. Our good player shuld learn 2 fight in europe, players like chris nd ba muzo its ok

  6. I just hope this new coach won’t be unveiled on the eleventh hour with just a few weeks before the AFCON qualifiers……the sooner the better to allow him enough time to select and know the players who can upgrade his CV.

  7. To me kamanga is a failer he failed at kabwe warrious and he also failed at power dynamos and what has kamanga achieved as an administrate in football?for him be faz president nothing, how many players has he helped to grow, how many league title has he won as an administrate, does he have connections,we don’t wat failers to lead faz.

  8. The fact is zambia cannot afford a coach. We just poor man. We needed a coach straight after afcon 2015 and we let Janza continue and later brought someone even more useless. It’s better we left Janza alone he was doing a better job than a this man we currently have. We don’t have money in zambia period.

  9. It’s a very beautiful trophy, let the purse money be more attractive also to enhance competition. The trophy is be sacred to give impetus to the competitors in glorifying victory.
