The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ – says it is working to resolve all the outstanding issues between Chipolopolo Coach AVRAM GRANT and striker FASHION SAKALA.
FAZ General Secretary REUBEN KAMANGA says this is being done to ensure that the striker returns to the Senior National Football team to strengthen the Squad ahead of the back to back AFCON qualifier fixtures.
KAMANGA says the aim of the Association is to ensure that all players who are currently in form and fit to play for the national team are given an opportunity to be part of the Squad.
In an interview with ZNBC Sports News, KAMANGA said that all the outstanding issues will be resolved so that all the best players are made available for national duty.
KAMANGA has urged the Chipolopolo boys to ensure that they collect maximum points against Chad in both the home and away fixture.
What’s Faz reaction to outstanding players in diaspora
There is Absolutely No need. The players there now are working just fine. Fashion made a decision to disrespect the coach. Do not interfere with the coach’s decision and consequently disrupt the unity in the squad. These boys can beat Chad & Ivory Coast without sakala whr in form or not.
Faz better resolve this issue otherwise fyabupuba, allowing childishly behavior coming from both the coach and the player.
And if Faz takes long to do their job then we need to have a different Faz group because they are not helping.
In addition, am always concerned with the distribution of jersey numbers to players anyhow e.g numbers 20 and 10 no player should wear that number when patson and sakala are not there. Is it that we don’t have enough jersey numbers or what? Faz should give responsibility to players through jersey numbers like it were before, the likes of jersey 11 from Kalu to Chris katongo, that way players feel important and the need to perform to their level best because they know the importance of putting on that jersey number.
I therefore challenge Faz to do a good job on both of these issues if we are to get back to our top form as the Zambia National Soccer Team.
Zamfoot kindly let this message reach the person responsible in making sure that we restore sanity in the allocation of jersey numbers let Faz create more jersey numbers and reserve those numbers that are meant for other players until a player retires from international football, it’s one way of motivating players comrades.
Mwaice wandi (my young man) Bwalya you are sensible. Ba FAZ don’t just give out jerseys as if we are playing ifimpombwa(plastic /rag balls). If you are short of jerseys beg from us. What we saw on 10th September 2024 was shameful to say the least.
Faz do your job please bring our players, we are tired of this nonsense between Grant and players, resolve this issue please, we want F sakala, Emmanuel Banda and Ridrick kabwe.
