Football Association of Zambia have finally re-branded the FIFA 2010 bus which was given to Zambia by the FIFA 2010 World Cup local organizing committee.
The much anticipated luxury coach to be used by the Chipolopolo was given to Zambia as part after the world cup as part of the benefit to the region for South Africa hosting the tournament.
However, owing to reported issues in having the bus cleared and conditions attached to it, the two parties in South Africa and Zambia failed to agree on terms of releasing the bus.
The Chipolopolo however were allowed to use the Hyundai coach at some point when they camped in South Africa.
Last year in May, there was a lot of debate on who should take credit for the bus and FAZ President Andrew Kamanga said this at the time.
“The bus is also outside. I hope it is not something for debate. Let us not waste time on who has brought the bus? Who has done what? What is important is that the bus is here,” Kamanga told media.
“Let us be a bit happy that it is here. For me, the bus belongs to FAZ. So, give credit to FAZ, whether it is the previous administration or the current one. For me, credit is due to FAZ.
“You know people come and go but the benefit remains with the institution.”

Credit to the Kamanga admin. 7 years down the road by the uknow who!! and 10 months into the new Faz! Wat held up the bus is a non issue, but its the incompetence magnified by the entire bumbling process!
They should have kept it with its old colours! It looked better than now!
No sense of national pride. The brand should be something pleasing to look at.
Not bus Monga it’s personal / privately owned & yet its used for national duty.
As long as the bus has national colours & written Chipolopolo that’s all that matters to the public relations team at Faz / whoever was given the responsibility to re brand it.
The earlier branding is far superior to the current one.
How come that the bus has south African number plate
Is it only me who can see that the two buses have different number plates?
For sho its a controversial bus na ma plate numbers differ one at the front and the back! Is this not just a trap that will one day blow up the entire national team!…. 😀 We been there before, can somebody fix this bus.
The earlier brand was far much better than the current one. Mediocrity at it’s best! Surely FAZ could not find a better design for the branding? Don’t we as a nation have proper artists who can come up with designs that could compete so that the best one is picked for such an important reason.
Anyway, if we are comfortable using CHITENJE material to print banners for an international tournament. what do you expect?
I have seen better branding. This is not creative, we could have done better.
