Fathi happy with win over Lumwana despite missed chances

Napsa Stars football club recorded their ninth win of the Season following a 2-1 victory over Lumwana Radiants in a week 14 fixture played at Woodlands Stadium yesterday.

Despite picking up Maximum points Napsa Stars head coach Muhammed Fathi said his side missed a number of chances but believes the most important thing is to maintain a good record at home.

“Lumwana is a good side and so it was not easy but I think we missed a lot of Chances, so far so good we have to maintain winning at home and pick three points to maintain our position on the Log, we have won 2-1 and it’s good,” he said.

Fathi reiterated that his target was to win games weekend in weekend out regardless of the team they face in the league and that the most cardinal thing is what reflects after the Final whistle.

“We are playing for Business and that is to win the games we are not playing to entertain the supporters, so our target is to win the games either we play good or bad football because the most important thing is what is the result after the final whistle that is what we are concerned about,” he said.

“We are okay and we will improve every day so we will just prepare for the next game against power Dynamos just like any other team they are no difference between Power and another team I know they have a lot of supporters and the game is away in Kitwe but we still have confidence as a team we can have positive results because we managed to beat them and in the past one year the results have gone in favor of Napsa,” he added.

Napsa Stars are Second on the log table with 31 points after 14 games played, the pensioners will be away to Power Dynamos in the next fixture on the 28th of December,2019.
