Nkwazi football club head coach Dennis Makinka was left feeling not disappointed at all with the away goalless draw against Green Eagles yesterday in Choma at Independence Stadium.
Makinka believes the positive results will come soon as his team had a lot of chances and the basics from their training sessions are being seen in their games.
“I think today we had a lot of chances because we have been working on finishing and creating chances but am not very disappointed because at least I can see what we have been doing in training is happening though we didn’t finish I know it will come,” he said.
“They are a very good team very strong, physical and very tactical it’s not easy to play them at their own home ground it’s a tough team,” he added.
The Nkwazi gaffer is not very convinced with his attacking options on the field of play and is happy with his defense despite the team going 9 games without scoring a single goal.
“We are still working on finishing because if you see the statistics I think we are doing well defensively we defend as a unit and just in attack we are a bit slow to go and join support I think we will work on that in the next game we should see goals,” he said.
The Nkwazi coach is positive about their next fixture away to Nkana as his team has enjoyed some positive results at Nkana Stadium in the past seasons and believes his team enjoys playing Nkana Stadium.
“Another tough fixture but we always enjoy playing at Nkana stadium,” he said.
Makinka believes the main target, for now, is to get out of the relegation zone.
The policemen have docked 3 points from their season opener against Forest Rangers whom they beat 1-0 but were later docked the points for using an ineligible player.
“Just to survive relegation as you know we are docked of points and we have gone a rough patch we have just been drawing I think for now we have to fight to get out of the relegation zone.”
Nkwazi is currently in 16th position on the log with 10 points and only 2 points away from the bottom-placed Mufulira Wanderers.
