Fashion signs a three year deal at Oostende

KVO has a new attacker to snare. The Zambian Fashion Junior Sakala (21) comes over from Spartak Moscow and signs a contract for three seasons.

He was officially presented this afternoon in the Versluys Arena and is also training a first time.

Sakala was first noticed two seasons ago. With Zambian Nchanga Rangers he scored no less than 23 goals in 40 games.

He was picked up by the Zambian top club Zanaco where he hit eleven times in 23 matches.

His torinstinct aroused the interest of Russian top club Spartak Moscow. There he came out for the second team, which comes in second class. He scored ten goals and was also called for Zambia for the first time. “I can play in rush hour and as offensive midfielder,” said Fashion.

“My compatriot and friend Emmanuel Banda told me a lot about this club, I also had a good chat with Hugo Broos and chairman Peter Callant, I have already arrived here on Friday and I really like this city by the sea. In addition, KVO is extremely ambitious to score with a renewed player core and trainer staff and I want to be part of this great project. I hope the fans will support me in this new challenge.

    • it’s a good move and I’m happy to see young Zambian players playing in Europe. l wish you all the best and I know you can do it….go Zambia go…

  1. Am sure the new coach knowz where to get top quality playerz. If you want to be a successful coach you have to emulate from the french and beilgian coaches they pick players on merit. I would like to advice him to be selfish and ignore some local coaches who are verry corrupt. They will bring fringe ,below average and rotten players. Zamfoot its now your time to expose all the talent we have in diaspora..

  2. Wooow..Russia to Belgium, this z developmnt especially for a 21year old unlike at Spartak at KV he will develop ed will be part of the A team.

  3. Good move for fashion. Another point is it will be easier for Sven Vanderbroeck to monitor both fashion and Emmanuel Banda as Hugo Broos the new KV Oostende coach was the Cameroon coach and Sven’s boss when they won the Afcon

  4. Lets hope Emmanuel Banda gets more game time and also Fashion gets game time at this club. Andile Jali has left the club and is back in the PSL but has not given reasons why he left.

All the best to the lads but I wish we could know why Fashion was not able to break into the first team in Russia.
