Chipolopolo midfielder Emmanuel Banda welcomed compatriot Fashion Sakala at Belgian side KV Oostende on Monday after the latter passed his medical.
Sakala is set to sign for Oostende from Russian side Spartak Moscow 2 in the next 24 hours.
The two first crossed paths at Zambian side Nchanga Rangers two years ago before they teamed up to help Zambia Under-20 to glory on home soil as the Junior Chipolopolo Boys claimed the African Youth Championship in 2017.
They then graduated to the Chipolopolo squad and featured in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
“Welcome to KV Oostende my brother,” the left footed attacking midfielder wrote on his Facebook page.
“From Nchanga Rangers to Under 20 to the senior team of Zambia,” Banda wrote
“We were teammates..Now the Lord has brought you to KVO..the kust Boys…welcome Fashion.
Fashion came to stardom after the airtel rising star program.
Straight from Eastern Province, Fashion joined the 1998 Zambian Super League Champions Nchanga Rangers and spent two seasons there together with Banda and Patson Daka.
In 2016, he joined Zanaco and helped the bankers to the league title.
On the international stage, his exploit saw him help Zambia Under-20 to the Cosafa Cup in December 2016 before the AFCON glory in 2017.
He then signed for Russian side Spartak Moscow but spent most of the time playing for the reserve side.
At KV Oostende , he is seen as a direct replacement for Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona.
Musona left the club and has joined Anderleicht.
