Zambian mideld general Emmanuel Banda scored another beauty of a goal as Djurgådens IF thrashed IFK Värnamo 5-0 in the 14th round of the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Banda first set up a skipper Magnus Eriksson for the second goal before scoring the third with his usual panache.
Djurgådens took the lead in the 15th minute, Elias Andersson’s beautiful cross found Haris Radetinac and the DIF veteran used his forehead to steer the ball out of reach of Vaitsiakhovich,1-0.
Stockholms stolthet doubled their lead at the half hour mark as Bada set up skipper Magnus Eriksson for the second goal. The match went to the break with Djurgådens IF leading 2-0.
Seven minutes into the second stanza, Emmanuel Banda made it 3-0, Edvardsen’s ball rolled to the Zambian international, the midfielder struck immediately and saw the ball roll in with a margin of a few centimeters inside the post, A smart finish.
Eriksson completed his brace in the 67th minute with fine finish within the box. Edvardsen completed the huge win with added time strike.
Emmanuel Banda has been involved in five goals in the last four games, two goals and three assists.
The win takes Djurgådens to the top of the table with 30 points.
Next up for Djurgådens IF is a trip to Croatia to face HNK Rijeka in a UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie.
