103 days after ZESCO Ndola Girls were crowned Champions, The Eden University Women’s Super League finally returns this afternoon with five mouthwatering encounters.
The defending Champions, ZESCO Ndola Girls will not be in action this weekend as they are preparing for the CAF Women’s Champions League| COSAFA Qualifiers which kick off next Friday.
To kick off the most anticipated season off, Nkwazi Queens and Elite Ladies will face off in an early kick off.
COSAFA U20 player of the tournament Saliya Mwanza is expected to lead the Elite Ladies against Nkwazi.
Last season, Elite Ladies beat Nkwazi 4-2 in the first round and suffered a 2-1 loss on the final day as the Zambia Police sponsored outfit survived relegation.
In Eastern Province, Chipata Girls return to the Super League and welcome fellow newcomers in Amazing Grace with an exciting encounter expected this afternoon at DK Stadium.
At Nkoloma Stadium, Red Arrows Women will start their campaign with a tricky tie against newcomers Konkola Blades Queens.
Coach Enala Phiri will be looking to make a statement with a win over Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium this afternoon.
