Zambia national team striker Patson Daka described his first Redbull Salzburg goal as a ‘huge honour’. The 2016/17 Uefa youth league winner scored his first ever Redbull goal in extra time of a cup encounter against ASK BSC BRUCK to propel Salzburg to the third round.
“It’s a privilege and honour for me to score for the first team and it’s always been my prayer which God has finally answered, am very happy about it, it’s a huge motivation for me, it can only be because of God,” Daka told Zambianfootball.co.zm in an exclusive interview
Daka was over moon with Enock Mwepu’s debut perfomance. Mwepu came on in the 63rd minute to make his Redbull Salzburg debut.
“Am happy for Enock’s debut, He was a marvel to watch and of course seeing him do what he does best (assisting),” Daka said
Redbull Salzburg needed extra time and wonderful performances from the two Zambia national team players to dispatch off ASK BSC BRUCK 3-1 in the second round of UNIQ ÖFB Cup.

THE MOST PROFILIC STRIKER PAPA DAKA IN ZAMBIA HE IS LETHAL AND SHARP. THIS YOUNG HE AN EXAMPLE OF FIGHTER AND HARD WORKER PEOPLE CRITISED HIM AND ROSE LIKE A EAGLE.
PAPA DAKA IS AN EXAMPLE OF A TRUE FIGHTER DESPITE CRITISM HE HAS MANAGED TO OVERCOME IT, HE IS THE MOST PROLIFIC STRIKER IN ZAMBIA.
Congratulations son! Remain humble and work hard…the world will have a chance to know you next year in Russia!!
Papa
If only talking and critising industry could be formed in zambia, some people could occupy highest positions. You almost destroyed the boy and today he is an hero.Hopefully N ‘gonga will rise above criticism and be like Daka. Thumbs up young man. On 7 th october we want you to come and rise above everyone and shoot down the super chickens.
Simmz,
Won’t lie I was one of those who simply thought the boy was being rushed into the senior team. It wasn’t until the U-20 AFCON that I realized how amazingly talented the young man is. For the longest time, I didn’t understand why he was getting calls to the senior team.
Criticism will happen in all walks of life. It is important though, that we do it with the intent of improving individuals rather than bringing them down.
Thanks for being honest you are a great Man!
true simms
True l want to see goal from, mulenga and Brian to kill eagles do as Rantle did to the eagle defenders
@Simmz that true my man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Patson and the u20 players is still a fresh fish . They wont break when you teach them new tricks. Lets invest in them and encourage them . And for Patson you have shamed me as you have displayed good sportmanship discipline.
If I can remember Patson Daka was ripped apart with Insults on this same site you are praising Him, This is why God has lifted this Boy mwebena Zambia muleke insele ne misango Iyi iyabula amano even WADA was stripped off his dignity please let us be like South Africans who “to me” have a positive spirit. If only Zambian supporters could have that Zambia will go very far!
If you’re weak minded, criticism will land you in the gutters on the other hand , it can bring out the best out of you PD was never weak minded n preferred to ride the storm. Constructive criticism, so to say.
Insults and constructive criticism don’t go together because insults never builds but break you down!
I meant insults never build…….
it want aimless criticism, we made him a bettr player.
meant to say wasnt aimless criticism
Just accept and change insults are not good what if it were you!
This is what I have been telling people like TC soccerman and the group that you have been unfair to the young man change for the better
We all learn and as zambians who want to see our football improve, hopefully we will criticise positively with a view to building someones career.Zambia azawina bola against the super chickens.
