COSAFA Cup: Ricky Banda leads the attack as Sichone takes charge of the team

Ricky Banda will lead the attack as the Copper Bullets kicks off their quest their quest for a sixth COSAFA Championship title.

The Chipolopolo Boys will lock horns with the Zebras of Botswana at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban in a quarter final tie.

The match is a repeat of the 2019 final, also played in Durban, that Chipolopolo won 1-0 to claim their fifth title.

Banda will lead the attack supported by ZESCO United duo of Spencer Sautu and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba on the wings.

In midfield, Kelvin Kapumbu, Prince Mumba and Joshua Mutale will partner up to create chances for the Red Arrows goal poacher.

Cyril Mwenya Chibwe starts between the sticks with Benedict Chepeshi, Luka Chamanga, Allan Kapila and Dominic Chanda making up the back four.

Kick off for the match is at 17:00hrs and the match is Live on Supersport PSL channel.

With Aljosa Asanovic facing VISA issues, Moses Mwape Sichone will take charge of the team, making a return to COSAFA since 2003.

Sichone played for Chipolopolo at the tournament 19 years ago, the last game being the 1-1 draw against Malawi in the semifinals which the Flames won 4-2 on post match penalties.
