Zambia U-17 WNT 0-2 Cameroon U-17 WNT (Mana Lamine 48′ Camila Daha 67′)
The Zambia Under-17 Women’s National Team has suffered a major set back on their World Cup qualification hopes following a 2-0 loss at the hands of Cameroon Under-17 Women National Team.
The Copper Princesses welcomed the Baby Lionesses in a 2022 India FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier, Third Round, First Leg Qualifier match this afternoon at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.
A goal each from Mana Lamine in the 48th minute and Camila Daha in the 67th minute were enough to hand the Young Lionesses an advantage in the first leg going into the return match in two weeks time.
Zambia had chances with Blessings Zulu, Lucy Kajiya and Elizabeth Mwale all coming close.
The return match will be played on 30th April, 2022 at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde at 16:30hours with the overall aggregate winner qualifying to the fourth round and will face the winner between Burundi and Tanzania in the final round.
Only 3 slots are allocated to Africa at the World Cup to be hosted by India later this year in October.
