Russian based midfielder Chisamba Lungu is expected back on the pitch in a fortnight.
Chisamba will miss Ural’s first two games as the Russian Premier League resumes this weekend
The Ural playmaker, who turned 25 years old in January has been training on his own initially with the club physiotherapists before shifting to the gym upon his return from Cyprus.
Chisamba had a tibial fracture and missed Ural’s final four matches before the winter break and was given a one month rest.
Upon his return to Russia on January 8, the nimble footed former Zanaco player was given a tailor made training program.
Though he followed to Cyprus were his club had set up a training base for the winter break preseason, the 2012 African Cup of Nations winner didn’t not join the main group.
This means that Chisamba will only be fit a week before Zambia host Congo Brazaville in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Meanwhile Greece based striker Rodger Kola has been making steady recovery from a knock he picked up last month subsequently missing out Veria’s last three league matches.
In France, Stopilla Sunzu has had a bout of flu and Patrick Ngoma is expected back in action soon as he has been in the treatment room with a pulled muscle.
