The Zambia Women’s national soccer team will today kick-off their campaign in the 9th CAF Africa Women Championship (AWC) when they take on hosts Namibia.
In what will be a historical first game at the prestigious tournament for Zambia, the Charles Bwale coached ladies will have to dig deep to overcome the Namibians who will be keen to impress the home crowd.
Zambia go in the tournament as under dogs but will fancy their chances against the hosts at the Sam Nujoma stadium before they meet Nigeria on Tuesday, October 14. The othe team in Zambia’s group is while the third and final group stage match against Ivory Coast.
Bwale has a full squad to pick from as all players have been declared fit.
The game kicks off at 17:00hrs and will be live on Supersport.
