Battle for league leadership rages as Zesco host Nkana

Zanaco will on Saturday try to reclaim the top slot on the MTN FAZ Super League log as they kick-off the weekend fixtures with a match against town rivals Green Buffaloes.

Zanaco who surrendered the log leadership to Power Dynamos last weekend have had a dip in form which has seen them pick only two wins in the last five games.

However, they will fancy their chances against a Green Buffaloes side who look deflated in the relegation zone especially after they threw away a lead to lose to Nkana at home in their last fixture.

On the other hand, leaders Power Dynamos who are the most in form team going by the last five games having won 4 and drawn one, have a tough fixture away against fifth placed Napsa Stars who have only lost twice at home this season in 13 home games against Indeni and Zesco and have not lost in the last seven games at home.

It will be an interesting game pitting the best attack in the league against the best defence as Power has scored a whooping 53 goals while Napsa have only conceded 18 goals in the 26 games played so far.

Zesco also have a chance to take over leadership of the log should Power and Zanaco slip-up but they will have their hands full as they host champions in what can be billed as the fixture of the weekend.

  1. @Paradox,these web pages do nt guarantee us 100% availability. And considering the fact that some ppl hv slow internet in their areas, whatsapp will do them gd.It may also help us to follow up any blogger who goes missing from the site as we’l hv direct contact 4 to them, for example, right nw Justice Lukanga Kafusha is nowhere to b seen.goal alerts and otha heart taking updates need to b passed on immediately to othas and only whatsapp can serve better for that.We r nt trying to discard zamfoot in ths way,but creating a backup. The zamfoot clue is well organised and they r usually the 1st to update any1 who doesnt watch the game live,on Ss or whcheva channel,cz they acompany the team evn during training.mayb, lets hear wat otha bloggers r suggesting.cm in,guys

  2. suggestions are now coming forward to postpone the afcon in morocco. CAF is a very corrupt and biased organisation. How could they award 3 afcons to west africa knowing full well that the region is infested with ebola. Guinea cannot host any tournament for the next 20 years they need to recover from the ebola out break. Ivory coast was awarded 2021. Who wants to travel to ivory coast in 2021 given the fact that ivory coast is neighbours with guinea. Nobody wants to travel to these ebola countries for the next 10-15 years. Zambia should have been awarded either 2019 or 2023 given our infrastructure, economy, political stability and ebola free situtation. Shame on CAF. Hayatou is really corrupt.

  3. i was shocked when CAF awarded all 3 afcons from 2019-2023 to west africa. It is now becoming clear that the west african countries given the right to host were given via corruption. West Africa is currently seriously infected with ebola. Which foreigner would want to travel to west africa in the next 10 years? Shame on CAF.
