  1. For the first time seeing a semblance of how the African ranking should be with the odd one out being Algeria. Good to see Rwanda making progress as well. Otherwise its dificult to single out a not so deserving team. Lets continue improving.

  2. Some east african countries are improving for sure. Ethiopia played well in wc qualifiers and reached the last qualifying round, Kenya also drew with the eagles in Lagos in the same qualifiers, Uganda also disgraced the eagles in a friendly game played in Abuja after beating the dim stars home and away in wc qualifier. Now Rwanda is bacck in africa top 20.
We need to wake up as we see those improvements made by teams known to be minows. Next time, we shall be on the same level!!

    • How many West African nations are on the first 10? Uganda after whipping the Eagles & the “dim ” stars are far behind the Eagles & the dim stars. Grow up Mumbi for you as never ashamed to wantonly exhibit your ignorance.

  3. Point taken Ba mumbi,we need to start wining games so zambia can be a once again feard country inteams of football. All de best to our U23 against de dim stars of Nigeria on sunday.

    • Im also getting worried about this coach situation, the coach needs time to understand out style of football.

  4. zambia footbal = pathetic at best if you asked. faz doesn’t understand the importance of having a plan and execution.

    • Am not a FAZ advocate but it would sometimes be nice if statements like this could be unpacked. Make us understand the detail of were your statement stems from.

    • As long as Government is the principal sponsor of football in Zambia,FAZ will always be at the mercy of government bureaucratic inertia and economic challenges.I wish someone would just visit the FAZ office and have a feel of the pressure that comes with running the game.FAZ would never appoint any coach if there are no firm confirmation of funding of the salary by Government. At the moment Government has more pressing priorities than just football such that they have even gone to the extent of recalling diplomats in the foreign service to try and balance the national budget. Why are football fans in Zambia so brainless when talking or analyzing issues?

  5. Zambia a football nation? Then how would u classify Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Cameroon? World Champions? No no no. Zambia is gradually learning from the above “”world champions””. Please do not deceive yourselves. Hyping self becos of a fluke 2012 after which can’t even win s single game ? Look at Ghana after all the administrative disaster & embarrassment in Brazil , went all the way to the final of Afcon ( even after losing their first game). That is a football nation & not after being champions (though fluke) U cannot or will not win a single match. This proves beyond all reasonable doubt that 2011 was a fluke.
