Power Dynamos FC have confirmed that Alex Ngonga left the country with Gabonese club CF Mounana who are interested in signing the player.
Power Secretary Ricky Mamfunda stated that the player was released by the club after Mounana opened negotiations with the CEC sponsored side.
“Last week FC Mounana wrote to Power Dynamos to open discussions on the transfer of Alex and we are yet to clinch a deal,” he said.
“Alex left for Gabon immediately after the game against FC Mounana and he has the blessings of club officials,” he said.
“We would love our key players to stay on but the club policy is that the interest of a player is cardinal. This will not be the first time we shall be selling a key player. We sold Mukuka Mulenga to Sundown’s but manage to groom other players,” Mamfunda said.
Ngonga is expected to complete his move to Gabon this week.
If he signs, he will hav higher chances of goin to play in countriz such as france n belgium.
I hope the move fails coz its better if he is sold to a team from Northh Africa instead of Gabon or South Africa

Anyway hope the move works out for him. Looks like the Mwape kid is not cutting it at Pirates despite all of his coaches praises when they signed him. From making cameo appearances to nothing. Mbesuma is also another striker on the blanks side this season. He is enjoying game time but is certainly not celebrating goals scored. I wonder why Zambian players have gone from being the top PSL players to this now.

Very soon we shall have our players in all different african leaques. We already have professionals in Zimbabwean leaque, South African, Angolan, egyptian, Congolease, Kenyan and now Gabonese. We are moving at a faster rate in penentrating all african leaques. Previously, we had professionals from Libyan, Tunisian and Nigerian leaques.
If we where moving at this rate to have our players in europe, it could have been much better.

The problem is partially the failure of the agents of these young boys. The agents are not good. Period. They are always looking for a quick way out & since most of our boys are uneducated, they cannot read between the lines. I believe it is the responsibility of FAZ to streamline the signing of players in ZAMBIA . The boys are ignorant through no fault of theirs. FAZ should come to their aid as they are constantly exploited by the agents.

Hope he wont go AWOL in Gabon, i think its not a very bad move, lets wait and see before we judge. Our players are now spread out in different leagues across the globe though mostly in weak leagues but am hoping they start finding their feet in more competitive leagues. We have very talented players but very poor football administrators. Poverty is showing its ugly face in our soccer where administrators only think of making their pockets fat and dont care about football development at all.
I think for a while let him try his luck there. He might just make it.
