No Mbola, Kangwa as Fighton names final 20 for Nigeria game

Israel based duo of Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa have both been ruled out of the All Africa Games final round qualifier between Zambia and Nigeria to be played this Sunday.

The two players who were part of the senior team which played the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament were called to beef up the U23 national team but have not reported to camp.

Coach final Fighton Simukonda yesterday released the 20 man squad which will play against the Nigerians.
The team includes Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba who plays in Egypt and Mukuka Mulenga of South African side Bloemfontein Celtic.

Zambia need a win at the Heroes stadium as the two teams settled for a barren draw in Abuja.

Charges for the game have been pegged at K20 all round except VIP which will cost K200.

  1. I guess this tournament is not FIFA sanctioned and so the foreign based players are not obliged to feature for these matches. May be thats why they never bothered to come. Moreover, their coming is at the mercy of their clubs.

  2. I shall always fail to understand what we see in Mbola despite him being my village mate-kekekekeke. I dont rate him among the top 1000 left backs I’ve watched in Zambia since 1975!

  3. Uncle Bobs please give us a list of atleast 5 left backs better than Mbola in the past 25 years with atleast 5caps to their naMes at senior level.
