Lwandamina made a big mistake to remove Chris. The player who was heavy was Mbesuma,he was a bit slow. Mbesuma is good but he was not equal to the temple of the game. Adrian was equally slow. The first half was a good performance. We failed to build on that in the second half. To me the coach should have substituted Mbesuma instead of Chris Katongo. He should have removed Mbesuma and pushed Katongo forward, then introduce another midfielder to partner Sinkala. We have let ourselves down. It will be a mountain to climb in Congo.

Though I didn’t watch the match, Leonard on Radio 2 mentioned about the misses the Guys accrued. In football, every chance should count as a goal. It is painfull to draw at home but from our team’s last night display, we can easily beat Congo at their homeground. Zambia was good, but was just unlucky to miss too many clear chances. But for the goal we conceded, I’ll blame our goakeeper. From the way Congo’s scorer turned, a serious goalkeeper should have anticipated that he’d shoot towards his right or or directly where he was. Mweene should have slightly dived to his right and cover the ground under him rather than failing backwards, leaving alot of space under his legs. Infact he was supposed to throw himself to the floor to sweep the ball. I now understand why Mweene is always benched at Soundowns.

lets be mature in our blogging. This is not a kamanga vs kalu thing, so don’t take it there. Some people are still bitter about Kalu losing. Well get over it. Regarding the Football which is what we should be talking about only. We actually played really good football in the first half. We lost shape in the second. The current Zambia never creates alot of chances in most games so to have about three very clear chances in the first half which were not taken is something we cant afford. Kalengo actually scored from nothing. The midfield did not create enough and i would have preferred Chansa in the position Katongo played. He is not called Gattuso for nothing. Katongo did not distribute the way we know chansa can. The substitution was merited. i would have personally brought in chansa for him. On the goal as Zamfoot has alluded to on other articles we do not have a stable central defensive partnering. Sunzu has a new partner every game. Therefore he is unsure how to play. Central defense is by far our biggest weakness. Kabamba just needs more games and he will improve. Nkausu had a very good game. Lubambo with his pace needs to produce more. Mbesuma did not have a good second half and should have been substituted soon into the second half. We also missed a game changer. Someone coming from the bench to change the match dynamics something Chisamba does well.

The time the great kalu goes is the time chipolopolo can be easly beaten . All the players looks demotivated. Am sure the great kalu used to motivate tha players.. technically we were beaten pants down, however the positive lessons that we need to carry to congo are; playing an attacking game like we are at home, make tactical subs if need arises and pysco our players something that we lack in the zambian team.

If I was Lwandamina, I would call Mayuka to partner Kalengo. Mbesuma is too slow now. Mbesuma would do well as a super sub. Our right and left full back were also tested and found wanting. Kabaso should start at right back. As for left back we have no option but stick with Kabamba. I only wish Mbola was called. But we have stubborn coach who does not listen. A loss in Congo will spell doom for Zambia.
