The 2010 World Cup legacy bus donated by the South African Football Association (SAFA) has finally arrived in the country.
The much anticipated luxury coach to be used by the Chipolopolo was given to Zambia as part after the world cup as part of the benefit to the region for South Africa hosting the tournament.
However, owing to reported issues in having the bus cleared and conditions attached to it, the two parties in South Africa and Zambia failed to agree on terms of releasing the bus.
The Chipolopolo however were allowed to use the Hyundai coach at some point when they camped in South Africa.
The bus is now headed to for Lusaka after clearing at Chirundu border.
The 2012 African champions will now boast of a luxury coach instead of the small Toyota bus they were using.

Kamanga..at Work. Well done…after all very long wait
Yes Kamanga at work
Zamfoot-if you may please clarify to the masses; is this the SAME bus we were using in SA (the one branded in Chipolopolo colours) or this is a DIFFERENT bus given to us?? I don’t get why it changed back to white if it is-didn’t FAZ spend money to brand the said bus? Anyway,a little clarification on the matter thankyou..
ZamFoot understands that it is the same bus, only that the branding fell off and they scraped it to its original colour.

FAZ BUS- THE TRUTH
It appears some people want to attribute the delivery of the bus to Andrew Kamanga. Is it because they have nothing to celebrate about in terms of deliverables so far?
The truth about the bus is that
1.The corespondence between FAZ and SAFA started over four years ago.
2.The SAFA donation is part of the 2010 World Cup Legacy programme to the COSAFA region for hosting the first World Cup in Africa. It initially included a luxury car and bus to every country in COSAFA. SAFA however decided to donate the vehicles to its regions in South Africa.
3.The processes to have the bus delivered to Lusaka were started over a year ago under the Kalusha Bwalya executive committee.
4.The contention to have the bus cross the border back in South Africa every month in order to avoid paying the South Africa Revenue Services (SARS) by SAFA still remains.
5. Kalusha’s Executive the necessary tax free clearance through the National Sports Council of Zambia to bring in the bus Customs and VAT free.
6.The delay was on the SAFA side and not FAZ. Other South African protectorate countries like Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana got their buses earlier is because of their connectivity to the South African economy and currencies which does not apply to Zambia.
7.The downside to bringing the bus to Zambia will mean the National Team having to hire a bus for its use when camping in South Africa. That is the bus that was used in South Africa for all campings by all Zambian teams.

Thanks for the info.
This is not the actual ..please zamfoot why are you behaving like zambianwatchdog?
Some Zambian clubs use these big luxury buses while the National team use a rosa or kutina fuel consumption.#AtiEconomizinYachabe
Good development though it’s not the same Coach we used to see during Kalu’s tenure. The b4 was more luxurious.
it’s not that the bus is different but Zamfoot crew got a picture of an unknown bus. Not the one in South Africa
And I Quote, “ZamFoot understands that it is the same bus, only that the branding fell off and they scraped it to its original colour.” That should answer your querries.
Why do a sided. Picture on the something you are. Clearly seeing????????????????
It illustrates how far behind we still are. A national team without a bus. It seems transport has always been a stubborn issue since the days of the KK 11. I remember one in 1979 Ucar and the rest of the team waiting for transport outside the Savoy in Ndola to take them to the airport…they were becoming loud and agitated as the promised bus wasn’t coming and the clock was ticking. Defender Kampela Katumba then jokingly suggested to all squeeze into a little 123 Fiat taxi that was parked in front of the hotel….I was just happy to watch my heroes at very close range, some turned out much smaller than I thought they were!
For these are non-issues we have to look at how to develop our game .These are logistical issues which should be sorted by the FA secretariat and are not worth a story .
Umu Zedian tatasha, ngawamukonkelesha kuti wa washala mu chakale ati unless you shade blood that is when you can be rich. Kamanga he is just like some of you who have a dirty pay slip hoping the years to elapse like a blink of an eye just for you get another loan. Leave Kamanga alone, at least a bus is here, kit will be there naimwe bazamfoot I thought its Adidas or may ZNBC error in reporting. Just wait for 5 years and start attacking Kamanga if you think he is heading for failure. Your yali ninkongele stayed for not more than 10 years in case you have forgotten. I don’t have to remind you. I am not Kamanga cadre but I love Zambia and I just have to support whoever is running our FA and bound to my attacks.
