Zambia will face Mozambique in the first round of the 2023 CHAN Qualifier.
The locally assembled Copper bullets will be away in the first leg in Maputo against the Black Mambas on the weekend of 20-23 July.
Zambia will then be hosts a week later in the return leg.
The winner with either face Malawi or Zimbabwe in the next round.
Should Zambia qualify for the tournament, the Southern Africa fallen giants will be looking forward to do better than the three quarter and semi final appearances.
Elsewhere, Comoros will play South Africa with Mauritius up against Angola.
In the other ties, Seychelles and Madagascar will go head to head in an Indian ocean derby.
And finally Botswana face a tricky tie against eSwantini.
