Chaiwa debut for Hibernian ends in Victory

Chipolopolo midfielder Miguel Chaiwa finally made his highly anticipated debut for Scottish Premiership side Hibernian FC.

Chaiwa put in a good full shift as Hibernian beat Livingston 2-0 in West Lothian to progress in the Premier Sports Cup.

Meanwhile Thibault Klidjé and Josh Mulligan notched their first goals for the club.

Klidjé sealed an impressive individual performance by opening the scoring during the first half with a glancing header before substitute Josh Mulligan added a spectacular second late on to kill off the hosts’ hopes.

Victory today sends Hibernian into the last eight of the Cup and sets up a mouthwatering encounter with Scottish Premiership giants Rangers at Ibrox.

Chaiwa arrived at Easter Road earlier this month after completing his switch from BSC Young Boys.

The 21-year-old midfielder penned a three year deal with the Scottish Premiership side with the option to extend for a further year.
