CAF CC: Disappointing Zanaco back from Egypt

Zambia Super League side Sensational Zanaco is back from Egypt following a disappointing CAF Confederation Cup outing.

The Bankers suffered a 1-0 defeat in their final game against Pyramids FC on Sunday thanks to Substitute Islam Eissa who scored in added time.

The Bankers touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) at 14:50 aboard Emirates Airlines.

There is no rest for the seven-time, Zambia Super League Champions as they make a short trip to Edwin Imboela to face the Crocs, Kafue Celtic on Thursday in a week 29 MTN Super League encounter.

It will be interesting to see what changes, Kaindu will make having complained of a thin squad during the post-match interview in Egypt.

“We have a thin squad, we have been using the same squad in the league and the Confederation Cup. Pyramids made changes to the team we played in the first leg maybe they have enough depth.”

The Bankers finished the CAF Confederation Cup Group stage with only one win, bottom of group A with on only three points.

In the league they are currently 9th but with a reasonable chance of finishing in the top four with seven games to go.
