Zambia Women’s Champions, Green Buffaloes have intensified preparations for the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The ZamFoot Crew watched the teams’s morning training session at Arakan Barracks with coach Charles Haalubono taking his lasses through their paces.
National team quintet of Natasha Nanyangwe, Ireen Lungu, Lushomo Mweemba, Agness Musesa and Martha Tembo who resumed training on Monday were part of the session this morning.
Haalubono has already hinted on reinforcements ahead of their trip to Morocco next month.
Buffaloes qualified for their maiden tournament after they emerged as Champions of the 2022 COSAFA Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers last month held in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The Zambia Army sponsored side was drawn in Group A with hosts ASFAR FC of Morocco, bronze medalists in last year’s WCL, will face Simba Queens of Tanzania, and Determine Girls of Liberia.
Group B has TP Mazembe Women, defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa, Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria and Wadi Degla of Egypt in group B.
The TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2022 is scheduled to be played between 30 October 2022 and 13 November 2022.
