The Zambia U20 women national team and their South African counterparts on Sunday afternoon played to a goalless draw in a PAPUA NEW GUINEA U20 WOMEN FIFA WORLD CUP qualifier played in Lusaka.
Despite fielding a strong team, the Zambian girls failed to unlock the visitors defence as they squandered the chances they created with Basetsana also coming close on occasions.
Babara Banda almost won it for Zambia with 10 minute to play with a long range effort but the Basetsama goalie was up to the task and ensured the two teams shared the spoils.
The two meet in the return match in two weeks time.
