Mbesuma posts a second brace within a week

Collins Mbesuma has continued with his fine form in front of goal when he again netted a brace to help Mpumalanga Black Aces to a 4 – 1 won over a win-less Maritzburg United.

This was ‘King David’s’ second brace in less than a week after he demolished Golden Arrows with another two goals during a mid-week fixture.

With the two teams level at 1 – 1, Mbesuma rose highest in the box to head home and give Aces the lead in the 45th minute.

Mbesuma then added another from the spot in the 60th minute before S Masina killed the game off with a fourth in the 90th minute.

Mbesuma was substitute in the 85th minute.

The win sends Aces second on the log behind Platinum Stars on goal difference.

Elsewhere in the PSL, Kennedy Mweene was an unused substitute for Mamelodi Sundows when they picked a 2 – 0 win over Jomo Cosmos.

In the lower division Bornwell Mwape came off the bench to score the fourth goal for Amazulu as they beat Moroka Swallows 4- 0. Mwape scored from an indirect free-kick.

Allan Mukuka was an unused substitute in the game.

    • Remember these clubs have professional players from other countries playing in Sudan and these strengthen these clubs. But I can’t take away anything from these clubs, they are strong with good financial backing. I am not sure if they can replicate these to the Sudanese national team.

  2. am greatfull to see you guys making comments…its true we have a talent in zambia…mbesuma is getting there and kalengo is becoming more swift which means we re having a strong team.compotition shud b there i can tell the good part for mbesuma is he is not selfish on the ball he is always creative and assist goals wen it comes to him to score he calculate when to score were to assist.a striker should always be sharp and should think…mukuka mulenga were re u..u re a good player work hard mwaice…chriss ifintu ati shani we need you.you to work hard…this time ll blast any team trying as.

  3. I hope both Mbesuma and Kalengo continue their fine form. This may reduce much stress on Kalaba, coming as a results of fans expectations, which I feel overwhelms him at times. He is expected to create chances at the same time to score. Now this feels like the load can be shared! its a good thing.

  4. @Billy, chalowa kabili naimwe?
I also thought Mbesuma was injured. Please ba Reporter don’t sensetionalise news. To all Zambian players out there keep up the spirit we are approaching a time when all of you need to be at your peak.
Mweene should just leave Sundowns. His form has been affecting us at National Team akabwelele fye ku lya ali kale.

    • @Ba Kasma Boy, Mbesuma only sustained a minor knock in the game against Golden Arrows. It was not serious. Eeeh nifyo fine kabili. Nachilowa.
