Zesco United continued their match towards retaining the league title when they took advantage of Zanaco and Power Dynamos’ failure to pick maximum points to extended their lead at the top of the log to nine points when they beat Nchanga Rangers 2 – 1 in Chingola.
League top scorer Winstone Kalengo was again on target as he made it six goals in six games with Lazarous Kambole scoring the opener for Zesco United.
Nchanga found the back of the net from the spot through Clement Mwape in between the two Zesco goals.
With five more games to play, Zesco United now need seven more points from a possible 15 to be crowned champions.
In the early kickoff, Forest Rangers picked their first win in the second half of the season when they beat Konkola Blades 1 – 0 through a Logic Chikule goal.
thanks for the update
Team Ya ZIko, li team lya bakulu ! esgo Zesco Esgo! hee hee Esgo Zesco esgo!
Kalengo
I hope both Mbesuma and Kalengo continue their fine form. This may reduce much stress on Kalaba, coming as a results of fans expectations, which I feel overwhelms him at times. He is expected to create chances at the same time to score. Now this feels like the load can be shared! its a good thing.
The golden boot award is likely to be taken by Kalengo.
Top scorers award is Kalengo’s to lose. Can’t see any local striker overhaul his 15 goals!
Any striker who replicates his club form with National duty form, is worthy a place in that National Team. Kalengo and Mbesuma are just that. With the rest falling in place. Congratulations all Chipolopolo players.
Good news but where are the young stars
Kalengo will score 20 goals this season.
Am just happy he has reached the 15 goals point atleast score in half of the league games then we can build up from there….. well done kalengo
