Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda and four other foreign-based players have joined the Zambia camp in Kampala ahead of Thursday’s 2028 Olympic qualifier against Uganda.
Defenders Margaret Belemu, Martha Tembo and Lushomo Mweemba, along with midfielder Ireen Lungu, have linked up with interim head coach Charles Haalubono’s squad.
The five players are part of the eight foreign-based players called up to join the 17 locally based players for the two-legged Olympic qualifying tie.
With their arrival, only Racheal Kundananji, Prisca Chilufya and Mercy Chipasula remain to join the squad, with the trio expected in camp on Tuesday.
Zambia will face Uganda at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on Thursday, 8 October, with kick-off scheduled for 16h00 local time (15h00 Zambian time).
The Copper Queens will travel to Ndola immediately after Thursday’s first leg for the return fixture.
The tie forms part of the qualification pathway for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
