Zambia Women’s National Team striker Barbra Banda has continued her fine form in front of goal this season.
Banda netted her second goal of the season on Wednesday as Shanghai RCB dispatched Changchun Dazhong Zhiye 4-1 in a 2023 Chinese Women’s Super League week 2.
Wen M scored the opener 17 minutes into the match before Banda could double the lead 20 minutes later.
Huang Wang pulled one back for Dazhong but a brace from Marta was enough seal a 4-1 win for Shengli.
It is now two goals in two matches for Banda who opened her 2023 goal scoring account for Shanghai with a late winner against Shaanxi Chang AN Athletic FC on March 4.
Wuhan Jiangda and Shanghai have six points but the former lead the table thanks to their superior goal difference.
Banda will be hoping to help Shanghai to the title this season and probably fight for her second golden boot in China.
The former Green Buffaloes and Bauleni United Sports Academy forward scored 18 goals to win the golden boot in her first season in China back in 2020.
