Herve Renard’s Ivory Coast were held to a 1 – 1 draw by Mali while Cameroon and Guinea also registered a similar scoreline as the teams in group D remained level on two points after two rounds of games.
Substitute Max-Alain Gradel’s late equaliser earned a disjointed Ivory Coast side a 1-1 draw against Mali in the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday as the Elephants kept alive their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.
Renard again had to watch his team come from behind as was the case in the opening game against Guinea but will know that the final game against rivals Cameroon on Wednesday will be tough.
In the late kickoff, Benjamin Mokandjo and Ibrahima Traore were both on target for Cameroon and Guinea respectively.
All teams are now level on 2 points in the group going into the final round of group stage matches.

Wow! So Ivory Coast can’t win a game?
Renard the draw specialist has gone 12 games unbeaten at afcon sine 2012. He has passed on the draw virus fron Zambia to Ivory Cost. I pity them.
It’s better to draw than to lose especially when you were trailing .
Pathetic Renard and his team must start packing their bags. They are out of this competition they have to beat Cameroon in the final game and with all due respect to Renard he done not have the tactical acumen to beat volke finke the Cameroon coach. This is what Kay hummer, pulu, stumpy, Percy and myself came to say day in day out.
RENARDS WAS BEATING BY CAMEROON IN THE AFCON QUALIFIERS AT HOME IN CAMEROON AND DREW AT IVORY COAST..U MIGHT BE RIGHT JOHN.
WELL, AFTER 90 MINUTES THE DRAWS OF GROUP D–CAMEROON AND GUINEA DREW
WITH A GOAL EACH….CAMEROON -1 GUINEA-1
