The 2024 ABSA Cup will kick off tomorrow with the Preliminary Round taking centre stage in Kitwe at Nkana stadium with a double header.
The action will move to Lusaka on Sunday at Sunset stadium with a triple header.
Tickets for the matches have since gone on sale via CompuTicket in all Shoprite stores at K20 General Access and K50 VIP.
On Wednesday, ABSA Bank Zambia announced a K5.5 Million Sponsorship package (35.7 percent increment from last year’s sponsorship of K4 million) for this year’s tournament.
The tournament has since been expanded to 21 teams (10 Provincial League log leaders, 4 National Division One sides and 7 MTN Super League sides).
At the same event a new look trophy was unveiled and the winners package announced as K800,000 while the runners up will pocket K350,000.
The Player of the tournament, Top goalscorer and best goalkeeper will walk away with K25,000, sponsored by ABSA Life
Meanwhile the player of the match will walk away with K5,000 in the preliminary stage and K15,000 from the quarter final stage, sponsored by Zamtel.
Travel subsidies for the participating teams will vary between K15,000 to K30,000.
