Zambia’s steady rise on the FIFA Coca-Cola World Rankings has continued with the Chipolopolo moving up two places to rank 75th on in the world according to the latest rankings released today.
The Chipolopolo moved one place up last month last month and have this month benefitted from a decent 2 – 2 draw against African Champions Cameroon.
The ranking leaves Zambia in 16th position just behind Uganda.
Senegal who were the biggest movers are the highest ranked team in Africa.
No value to this at the moment, out of world cup and also Africa cup groups already determined so no value. This will be of value only after we qualify and do well at the Afcon. at that point we will need to be top 60 so that our boys who shine have a good shot of getting into some of the more prestigious leagues like the EPL or Laliga. At this point right now its of no value.
Until we begin to be serious from the beginning and mandate the boys to win all qualifying group games, we will continue to participate in the math games. It has to start with the admin.
